I'm really searching the web for a long time to solve this issue, but nowhere found any working answer.
I'm running WSL2 on Windows 11 (previously on Windows 10 with the same problem). I have a working Ubuntu 20.03 on WSL 1 that has a stable network connection. As soon as I convert this to WSL 2 on some days network is ok and on some days not. If not, I cannot ping any IP address, even not of my router. Going back to WSL 1 "repairs" the network immediately, i.e. it is always stable. As far as I understood WSL 1 works totally different than WSL 2.
I'm not experienced enough to check the network settings of Ubuntu or the Hyper-V-Settings for WSL 2 (I did read somewhere, that WSL 2 uses Hyper-V) in depth to get any idea of the underlying problem.
I already resetted the network and did set the /etc/resolv.conf to a static one. Nevertheless at some days the network is not running and at some days it is.
I installed WSL 2 Ubuntu systems on different Windows 10 installations. Some are stable (network) running with WSL 2 and some are not.
So where and what to look for to repair such systems?
