I was running ubuntu with WSL on a Lenovo thinkpad t14 gen3 machine with no external hardware like envidia GPUs up until this point Ubuntu has been working fine, a few times Ubuntu would freeze and stop running and exit all tabs but I could just turn it on afterwards. Today I was working on a project and I grab one of the ubuntu tabs and snap it to its own window, when I'm finished looking at the two tabs side by side, I attempt to rejoin the tab in its own window to the rest of my tabs. Upon doing this Ubuntu freezes and is not exiting. I try to exit the process with ctrl+c but nothing happens and after a few seconds I get the blue screen of death with error driver power state failure and that it will restart after sending the information to a windows specialist. It doesn't restart on its own so I attempt to restart it after it gets to 100%. Now the computer will not turn on at all even if I'm using the tiny button on the back.
