Importing old .vhdx hard disk image file to newly installed Ubuntu app on Windows WSL

I use the Ubuntu app on Windows WSL, and the data and Linux filesystem from the app is stored in a .vhdx hard disk image file in my Windows file system.

Recently, I was encountering issues with the app, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. However, reinstalling the app created a new, separate .vhdx hard disk image file from the one I was using prior to uninstalling the app, so I have lost access to the contents of the old file. I am able to see the old .vhdx file in my Windows file system, but I am unable to access the contents inside because the Ubuntu app has become associated with a different .vhdx file.

Is there a way for me to import or mount the old .vhdx file in my reinstalled Ubuntu app so that I can regain access to the data and Linux filesystem from before?
