I'm pretty new to Ubuntu so I'm thinking I might've installed it incorrectly or something since this never happened on my old laptop, but here's what's happening:
I'm using the ubuntu terminal from the microsoft store, and all I've done to it so far is 'sudo apt update' and the command to install gcc.
When accessing windows directories, my Ubuntu terminal can only find directories but not files. So when I use ls the folders will be listed, but not any of the files.
However, I can still create/modify/delete files from the terminal, even though I can't see them.
So yeah, I'm not sure if this error is just because I haven't set it up properly or something, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling already. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
