Colors in the property or default tab are different from what are applied currently and I can't change my terminal colors

I am trying to change the background color of my wsl ubuntu, but for some reason, the color panel of properties or defaults contains the default colors (I'm pretty sure they are default colors) instead of my own custom colors. And, when I change a color, it does nothing to the colors of my ubuntu. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?

Edit: I found that changing a green color in my properties panel changed the color of tmux's panel at the bottom.Edit 2: If I check the "Use separate background" checkbox in the terminal panel, I can change the background of my terminal

Currently using: tmux, oh-my-zsh and zsh in wsl ubuntu

ZSH Theme: powerlevel10k

Edit 2 (at 9/19/21): For some reason, my terminal fixed itself! Now, the properties tab works as expected. I don't know if this was because I restarted my computer quite a lot of times between now and when I made the question (I haven't opened ubuntu in quite a long time). I will keep the question up just in case if someone also encounters the same issue, and someone else creates an answer.
